We’re not just another freight company—we’re Alaskans, too. As a locally owned business, we understand the unique logistics, weather, and communities that make Alaska what it is.
Our Story
We own two other businesses in Kenai, AK; a retail store and a small clothing manufacturing company. For our businesses we were constantly looking for economical ways to get freight to Alaska. When our go-to forwarder left the business, we knew we needed to find a solution.
The issue we had with the remaining forwarders available, is that they charge a hefty minimum fee, or a fee for each individual piece of freight that is moved. For our small businesses, that meant paying A LOT for shipping.
We started Kenai Freight Forwarders so that other businesses and individuals who want to shop online have options for shipping. We want to provide a simple, economical way for people to move items to Alaska.
Meet the family
About Us
We are Mike and Shelby Oden.
We moved to the Peninsula in 2015 and fell in love with the area. We have two kids, Briar and Boone, and two dogs.
Mike has a full-time position with Central Emergency Services.
We love this business because it is flexible with our family life, which has always been our biggest priority.
